Belarus and Turkey are considering the possibility of setting up a facility to assemble Belarusian tractors, BelTA learnt from Belarus’ Deputy Industry Minister Pavel Utyupin.
“This year Turkey received several Belarusian tractors of different models in order to carry out marketing research, study demand and take part in exhibitions,” Pavel Utyupin said. He noted that the sides agreed to decide on the appropriateness of setting up such a facility in Turkey, including partial localization of the machinery. As far as the assembly of MAZ trucks is concerned, ten vehicles have already been assembled in Turkey. “We also have an agreement to supply 40 more knock-down kits before long. The Turkish side takes great interest in this assembly facility,” Pavel Utyupin added.
For their part, the Turkish side suggested cooperation in light industry.
