Turkey regrets the lack of concrete progress in relations with Russia on issues a full refund of agricultural products to the Russian market.
This was stated by the Minister of agriculture and livestock of Turkey Faruk Celik.
“Unfortunately, despite the active process of normalization of bilateral relations, and that the issue of resumption of exports of our fruit and vegetable products to Russia have been discussed at the Ministerial level with representatives of the Russian side, we failed to achieve the desired result in the issue of export of our manufacturers of agricultural products to the Russian market”, — said Celik.
Çelik recalled that recently the presidents of Russia and Turkey discussed the issue of the abolition of quotas and restrictions for certain types of products.
“We continue to dialogue on this issue, we are open to dialogue. But I have to stress that tangible progress in the actions from the Russian side in this matter we do not see. I hope that our relations in this area will be completely restored and will return to the previous level”, — said the Turkish Minister
